Groovin on a Sunday Afternoon

Posted on

One of the best ways to spend a spring Los Angeles afternoon is visit the Afro-American  Museum, the California Science Center, and the fabulous Exposition Park Rose Garden.

ALL FREE!

The real treat on this afternoon was the Los Angeles Times “Festival of Books“. This is their 23rd year of more than 150,000 people eating, relaxing, and enjoying all the weekend festivities. There was so much going on it is impossible to tell you everything.  There are of course, authors and journalists, in addition to celebrities, artists, and musicians you can mingle with.

For fun, I jumped on the Metro Rail to the Staples Center and lunched at my third choose of restaurant. There are so many different cuisines, your selection will depend on your appetite. One of the most enjoyable moments was watching Tiah Gina and her backup singers perform “I Will Survive”.  Next year I will come early for both days (April 13-14 2019).

For fun I jumped on the MetroLink to the Staples Center and had lunch.   Across from the Staples Center they are building L.A.’s tallest condominium address “oceanwideplaza.com“. What a breathtaking building and just follow this link to be even more impressed.

It is a pleasure to share the video highlights of my afternoon.
